Geophysical Earth Resistance Survey
Venue. Alconbury Brook, Alconbury.
Dates. 19-23 Aug 24 and 12-17 Sep 24.
Survey Aims and Strategy. These were the second and third sessions of the first season of archaeological investigation at Alconbury Brook. The aim of these surveys was to determine, or disprove, the existence of two Roman roads transiting through the site. The survey area concentrated on the area north of Alconbury Brook and consisted of 20m x 20m survey squares aligned with the site grid.
Opportunities. The survey also provided an opportunity for individuals to gain or further their experience in geophysical survey.
